Just as soon as the British public get off their idle arses and protest.

My plan would be for the hauliers to park up across main arterial routes and cripple cities.  As each arrived at the scene, theyd park, get out and walk around with a placard for five minutes.

A government should be scared of its people (like in France etc) - not the other way around.

After the last protest by the hauliers, law was passed to make it illegal.

its illegal to block fuel refining terminals now, but a massive co-ordinated go slow protest on every motorway in the country would get their attention.

That would be a crime against the state!

think off all the murderers, rapist & Paedophiles theyd need to release to make room to lock protesters up!

Think of the amount of fuel you would all use, and it would be a waste of time and effort too.

They are now saying $200 a barrel by the years out, I mean what the hell?
No mega big reason for it either, no huge mass strikes, no closing down....

All it seems is the Oil Companies reeking of money

weak dollar (the international petro currency)

huge increase in 3rd world demand

massive speculative interest - oil is now a good earner for speculators

that, combined with just about everyone going at full capacity (except for terrorist activity in some of the adrican countries, and the lying bastard saudis who claim they can increase production, but dont - citing the reasons above for it) would be why the prices are rising.

The solution would be to depopulate china, india and the US

Yup. I bought some shares in an energy/oil company 3 years ago. For the last 3 years theyve been consistently lower than the value I paid for them. However in the last 3 months theyve shot up and Ive got 50% profit. Theyre estimated to double soon though as well. Question is do I sell em or see how high they go!

You can see the oil barrons having a party and dancing to the only way is up!

Though this also means other sources of oil will become profitable and so might alternative energy options.
