FU Alfa Romeo
on: May 23, 2014, 21:57:01 PM
FU and your stupid wiper linkages that are made of metal except for the joints which are made of super-brittle plastic. FU for charging £120 for a replacement, and FU for making the bit it bolts to out of tin foil.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Does it cost money to scrap a car?

You get paid if you can take it to them, something like £120 average, it varies all the time, make sure you ring around

If you had a better car i would recommend stripping a few bits yourself for ebay and then scrapping the rest as the weight will be nearly the same less lights, mirrors, bumpers etc and its a way to maximise your profit ahem reduce your loss :D

I should've done that but I don't get the time. I had a score to settle with that bastard car and I scrapped it a few weeks back - the clutch was bouncy as hell on the way to the scrappy so I think it was the right time. I got ~£130 for it and I got a few quid back off the tax disk.

Most transits are worth more than £250, i sold one with 190k miles, no mot and riddled in holes for £450. The doors on High tops can easily sell for £150 a piece for the rears.
