Title: Fuel prices - at the retailer
Post by: Mark on March 17, 2008, 21:04:50 PM
OK - I thought the profit placed on a litre at the pump by the retailer was tiny - like 7% ?

One of our customers is a large home heating oil supplier and they also sell diesel.

Their buy price for diesel this week was 90p per litre. How the hell do they then sell at 112.9 and claim they are putting on a tiny percentage?

Thats almost 3 times as much profit as when it was 90p per litre!!!!

Where is the extra cost incurred?
