I've worked out over the past few weeks that I'm spending £75 a week on petrol. I travel pretty much bang on 240 miles a week.
According to this fuel cost calculator (http://www.fuel-economy.co.uk/calc.shtml) my car is doing 19mpg. :-X
The onboard computer says I'm averaging 29mpg and tells me that on a good run I'm averaging 36-38mpg.

Ouch that's not good, thats nearly £4k a year in fuel costs alone!
I'm sad in that I write down my mileage and zero the trip when I fill up then plug the numbers into a spreadsheet, for the entire of last year I spent just under £600, but I only did 4800 miles admittedly I only had a 1.4 TDCI Fiesta at the time (got a 1.6 TDCI Eco Fiesta at the begining of Jan) but what are you driving?

I swear my car is getting worse on MPG, I must be getting 20-25mpg at best. I'm positive I'm no heavier with my right foot than usual either.

i get 450-550 miles a full tank
MPG is reported as 44.7
dont really care as I get paid per mile. Hence I got rid of my l200 truck & now drive a citreon C4 diesel - for the MPG
twice the mileage per tank & £25 cheaper to fill

Your real-world MPG average is 20.82
:D :ptu:

what soopah said, you forgot to type in the price/litre into that calculator
as a side note, I'm swapping over to petrol vans and getting them converted to mains gas (not lpg, mains gas)
spending 600 to 700 a week on diesel and I begrudge paying every penny of it !

I'm running a Corsa Diesel, don't know what the MPG is, but i put £20 in every now and then and it goes on and on.
Hated crushing my MK4 Astra but then look how much cash i'm saving. :D

If you want an easy way to track it use Fuelly (http://www.fuelly.com).
