I think if the engine is at the point of setting things on fire its doom and gloom regardless

in half? we'll see, i dont have high hopes for that seeing the price of diesel and the MPG on a 3.0 TD6

True, it should be in the boot. Easier to get at for a start.

I've always thought these looked more sexy than their saloon counterparts, and you can put a bed in the back for some fun, or just an emergency overnight sleep...

woo RAC inspection came back with only a couple of tiny things, will see just how much that inspection is worth once i have to live with the car i guess, not feeling confident that they could tell much more than i could from my viewing really.

Hopefully collect car mon or tues

What were those tiny issues?

Issues:

Vechicle no longer fitted with run flat tyres (knew that)
Front tyres have a lot of road noise (they are a random budget brand)
Wheel balance (vibration at 70)
Alloys corroded (being refurb'd before i get the car)
Rear discs getting low, may need to be replaced with next pad change
automatic luggage blind doesnt work (didnt even know it was there lol)

So no real surprises.

So apart from rear discs, you can live with all the rest

My bestie had a 55 plate 535D saloon and it was silly fast!

But very good ride and very good on fuel, im sure he was getting mid 30's at least

4 months in and I still own it.. must be a reasonable car lol

went ahead and bought the space saver kit so no need to use run flats or tyre weld

on board computer reckons 32.4mpg, havent yet bothered to work out what it really is

fast.. well its not biblical but its pretty good when you give it some, RWD is fun to 

changed the air flow meter to try and resolve an issue with the cruise control giving a jerky ride.. still testing to see if thats solved.

aside from that iv done 4000+ miles in it and its been pretty satisfying, i'll give it 7/10 

get it remapped.... it'll make a hell of a difference
