I hear McGard are the daddies, but they are difficult to source.

Cheers Nath, I already looked there though:

Note, can only be ordered if you purchase an alloy wheels package.
:(

The Mazda genuines are McGard OEMs, but only the standard ones, so that may be a last resort. Im also concerned that they will only have nuts for standard 14" rims, but Ill phone mx5parts and check.

Well it looks like Im ending up with Toyo Proxes after all, I got a call from mx5mad and they said they cant find anywhere supplying Eagle F1s for a good 3 weeks. Still its £30 back in my pocket, Ill try the Eagle F1s next time.

Im gonna go to Halfrauds to see about those locking wheel nuts when the wheels arrive next week.

Yep they get good ratings too, I did look at the Vredesteins. The shop I ordered the wheels from as a package from only does Proxes/Eagles as part of their deal, so I had the choice of waiting 3 weeks + for Goodyears or going with the Toyos, which come highly rated on the mx5 owners club forums anyway. It seemed a no brainer :)

Bling bling, mofos  8)

WTF is with the two valves though  :?

I dont suppose it matters which I use.

For an added bit of cred, they come with two valve stems to make it easy to purge the tires if you run nitrogen.

I didnt have any plans to purge the tyres running nitrogen, but at least I know I can now

For some reason it looks like a Jaguar now! And, although I would never normally say this, it needs to be lowered a wee bit!

Im reluctant to lower it as I already wince a bit at speedbumps and ramps :0hnoes:

I dont think it would necessarily have a great effect on the handling either. If I get new shocks ever, maybe.

had a few lowered cars and standard height cars now, for daily driving ill not use a lowered car, the ride is generally terrible as the roads are no where near smooth enough

I just meant it might look slightly less on stilts (and only only in that photo!) Generally speaking, having your tyres scraping the arch liners is only fit for www.sh*twagon.com

edit - oh no, its not there anymore!
