I've got 5 big long scratches on my screen after driving 200 miles with a duff wiper blade in the pouring rain the other night. Has anyone tried one of those scratch removal kits that come with the drill polishing thingy? They're about 15 quid on eBay..

Not sure how effective that would be, glass is pretty tough, those drill polishers are more than likely designed for plastic headlight lenses

http://www.autoglass.co.uk/ perhaps

My only advice would be if you have to go down the repair route don't go to some cheap company found on google, they probably use the ebay kits themselves and the result on my windscreen - while looking okay at first to seal a chip - has actually proven to be sh*t and the resulting raised spot caused my wiper blades to die early too. I wish I'd just paid the bit extra for Autoglass instead.

I wouldn't worry about that, i can get you a pair of wiper blades for under 2 quid, so it won't matter if they fail fast... They sound proper sh*t though on your screen :P

I've already swapped the wiper blades as it happens :P

I've just bought a kit off ebay for £10.
If it makes it worse I'll get a new screen.
