Went to collect this little beauty today

Some pics taken on the trip home from Hull to Holyhead to get the Ferry.

Immaculate would be a good word to describe this lotus excel SE.

46k miles. Not the quickest thing in the world, but excellent 80s looks

Thats some serious retro cool.

Is it going to get the Mark© makeover with a new/upgraded engine and more horsepower than an average tank?

Staying bog standard! Well, might service overhaul the carbs and freshen up the suspension with poly bushes

Theyre only 180bhp/165 lb ft - 2-2l 16V lotus twin cam

Am actually toying with the idea of turboing it -its the same engine as the esprit turbo 2.2

0-60 is pretty poor at 6.8 seconds, but it has really good handling and real sharp steering - had fun driving it home!

I think a turbo would sort it out nicely. Maybe in a few months when I finish the other car, and the BX.
