Collected it this evening, in the dark and rain, the place had piles of slush and hail around and it was sleet falling when I collected it.

Ideal time to by a powerful RWD convertible..  :muttley:

lol.... pity the weather was so bad, you'd have been scared to put your foot down....

i know my 3 series used to hold the ground like crazy... 90' corners at 40mph weren't even tricky....  the only probably was when it did let go.... it would hold on forever and then suddenly send you spinning :o

and that was a diesel.... yours will be a totally different animal :o

However despite driving it carefully i have seen the TC light a few times! the computer is showing a healthy 21.8mpg as well at the moment and still climbing so all good  :muttley:

A few photos snapped today in the light (needs a wash!)

Curse of the E46 :(

Got a crack that's several inches long in the region of the rear left sub frame mount.

Common issue on E46's

The car is now back with the dealer for a repair and if they cant/wont I'll be having my money back as that should never have passed an MOT.

How did you spot that?

Easy to see when you have it on a 4 post lift and are looking for it.

The car went back to the trader on Saturday

I told them I wouldn't take it back unless it was repaired to BMW standards.

Today I call them to be told its fixed.

They took it not to the specialist they told me would handle it, but instead to the MOT place that failed to spot it in the first place who happily ran a welder over it to cover their arse.

f**kers! BMW would have replaced the floor and reinforced with an epoxy foam.. this is not the repair I asked for.

So now its just arguing until they either repair it like I asked for or give me my damn money back! I am fuming!
