You have £100K to spend on a garage full of motors. Out of the following types you must select at least three - you cant repeat a type! They can be new or second hand, but try to give a reasonable estimate if second hand. Include pictures/reasons for choice if you want.
Hatchback
MPV
SUV
Estate
Saloon
Convertible
Coupe
Sportscar
Trackcar
Supercar
Bike

Cool thread. 3 is way to easy, but I have cheap taste :D
I would have a
Hatchback: Rover 200 BRM - 150bhp - £1,500
Sorted handling, very willing VVC engine with very subtle sporty styling.
(http://www.robdav.nildram.co.uk/100k%20garage/hatchback.jpg)
Coupe: Rover 220 Coupe - 200bhp - £1,500
(http://www.robdav.nildram.co.uk/100k%20garage/coupe.jpg)
Saloon: mk2 MG ZT260 - 260bhp - £14,000
Rumbling 4.6L V8, sporty ride with nice luxury and every option you would ever need.
(http://www.robdav.nildram.co.uk/100k%20garage/saloon.jpg)
Trackcar: Ariel Atom 2 - 300bhp - £35,000
300bhp go-kart, need i say more.
(http://www.robdav.nildram.co.uk/100k%20garage/trackcar.jpg)
Supercar: MG SV-R - 450bhp - £48,000
It attacked Clarkson, thats enough for me.
(http://www.robdav.nildram.co.uk/100k%20garage/supercar.jpg)
Thatll do me.

That garage is enough to make anyone kill themselves.
Never before has there been so much that works so little.

Heres me..
Saloon;
Audi RS4 (B7) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/cueless/186347015/in/set-1378605/) - £50k - For day to day use... although could be tempting to go for the Avant estate version.
Coupe;
Mercedes-Benz SL280 Auto Hardtop (although it is removable..), late 60s W113 model in black (http://www.flickr.com/photos/85248939@N00/172068361/) - £20K - I plan to get one of these soon!
Hatchback;
VW Golf Mk1 GTI (completely standard) (http://www.vwvortex.com/gallery/albums//Volkswagen/Golf%20-%20GTI%20-%20Rabbit/Golf%20I/Golf%20GTI%20(Europe)/01.jpg) - £2500
Trackcar;
Mini Clubman 1275GT (kitted for motorsport use) (http://no28.cocolog-nifty.com/no281750gtv/images/CLUBMAN.jpg) - £2500
Convertible;
Porsche 356 Speedster (http://www.flickr.com/photos/derdirk/316398923/in/set-72057594112848900/) - the best I can find with the remaining £25K.... in silver.
-
Hatchback;
VW Golf Mk1 GTI (completely standard) - £2500
*cries*
I had 2 of those, a 1.6i and a 1.8i, both written off by tossers running into the back of them.
-
Golf Gti - top choice, Mercs are really nice too :thumbup:
----------
Saloon - Mini Vtec roundnose (http://www.saeminivtec.co.uk/price2.htm) ~£14k
Convertible - My MX5 with supercharger & stuff (http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/MossUK/ProductList.aspx?SubSubCategoryID=MX5_UMXV1191R) ~ £8k
Coupe - Mitsu FTO (http://www.mitsubishi-fto.org/) served with rice ~ £10k
Track car - Mini 1293 ~ £8k
Sportscar - Porsche 911 (http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/review.aspx?model=1372) ~ £60k
All seccy hand.

Everyday driver:
VW 4door Golf TDI 5spd manual $20,000
you know what they look like.
Utility truck:
mid 60s GMC with a three on the tree and an AM radio tuned to WSM. (http://www.wsmonline.com/) Two tone paint if possible. $5,000
(http://www.knfilters.com/images/press/Patrick3.jpg)
MPV:
Mazda 5. $30,000
(http://arabam.milliyet.com.tr/fuar/2004/paris/mazda5.jpg)
Convertible:
Mazda MX5 $25,000
You all know what they look like.
Motorcycle:
1973 BMW flat twin with the chrome toaster tank. $5,000
(http://www.buysellcommunity.com/uploads/051606/ww1/xjcgowotnuwp.jpg)
So thats about half of the budget and quite pedestrian, as I like things that are no fuss. Ill give the rest to a charity of my choice. :mrgreen:

Track £30kish noble gto3r
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/103004.htm
Saloon RS6 £30kish
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/107989.htm
SUV Land Rover disco, £30kish again, would spend the last 10k kitting it out with floodlights and off road gear, for just in case WW3 breaks out.

Hatchback Toyota Yaris £10K
Estate, Jaguar X-type 2.2 diesel. About 20 grand
SUV Range Rover Defender for off road fun. £20K
Supercar Lotus Tesla £50K
MPV If I have any change it would go on an older Transit for fixing up as a touring vehicle. With a bed in the back it would make the ideal visit the pub and get mortal option.
Also ideal for picking up women for fun :heehaw:

I would have to concur with this man.
-
I would have
Hatchback: Lotus Sunbeam - there never will be a hot hatch such as the sunbeam lotus
Bike: kawasaki ZX-10 - still (IMO) ultimate mix of track and road machine
Saloon: bx 16 valve!! Of course :)
Oops, I seem to have selected machines that I already own!!
-
Hatchback 2007 Civic Type R / Civic 2.2 i-CDTi
Saloon Audi RS4
Sports Car Ariel Atom (Supercharger)
Convertible Volvo C70 T5
Coupe Nissan 350Z
I think I took a stab at the budget with the RS4 lol.
These are not permenant decisions, my opinion on cars gernally change all the time. Next day you might find me saying Audi A3 2.0 TDI DSG for hatchback, Or even the new volvo C30.
