Just spotted this Peltier on ebay, Am I missing something or is that stupidly cheap??
the listing says that it's 4cm square and 158watt, Now I know very little about these so whats the deal?

I would need a 15 AMP (12v) power supply !

that's about the average price for them now

it's 156watts

so will provide 156watts of cooling

but there'll be 312watts of heat to remove from the hot side (so you'll need water cooling really)

the temp difference between the hot and cold side is normally 60'C
(as long as you#re removing enough heat from the hot side)

Yeah they have a better use in cooler/heater boxes for food :)

Not really used anymore for OC’ing they produce far too much heat and got over taken by phase change cooling, which could give far lower temp and was safer to use, things tended to melt very quickly on a Peltier system if you had any issues with your cooling. :panic:
