Bluetooth & Handsfree on a land line?
on: January 15, 2007, 23:12:31 PM
Ive got a friend who wants to get a hands free bluetooth unit for his business so he can walk around while having no wires.

To have his land line running through Skype would be a lot of work and not that practical. So Im looking for a device thatll attach to his exisiting base unit that can have a bluetooth capability so he can talk.

Ive found a few things from Plantronics and Siemens, a base unit for about £110 from siemens which seems to be a good option, however he doesnt really want to change his base units and phone.

Have you guys got any other suggestions?

The only way I can think to do it is with a new base unit, as Im guessing his current one doesnt have built in bluetooth. You could plug it in as well as his existing one if he wants to keep it.

Yeah youre right, he doesnt have blue tooth on his current base unit, but he could just get the siemens thing I found.

Other option is a mobile phone that responds to his land line system when its close enough, but that is probably going to need the base unit changed too.

Hes stuffed ;)
