I dont see how they can according to Ebay terms, if they pull out of the offer and get 507 negative feedback in 1 month it should be an instant lock on the account to stop them from selling.

Take into consideration they have done 60k feedback from the last 12 months nearly, thats around 5k ish a month, and 507 negative would equate to 10% negative for that month, if Ebay lets them get out of that then its taking the piss.

Not really. Those terms have been copied from their website, they should have been changed for Ebay use, why?

Payment of the listing was by Paypal, Paypal is automatic in that you do not wait for the Seller to take the payment from you, once you have clicked buy it now or won the auction you then send instant payment for the goods.

They put the wrong price, its not really that easy to make mistakes on price because to add listings you have to go through their process and get plenty of time to edit listings etc, this is human error and/or laziness/ignorance when the wrong wasnt put right.

Assuming that the price is actually wrong in the first place. I thought Zaviis ebay store was used to sell refurb units ?

Paypal "Instant" payment didnt stop Woolworths from cancelling and refunding 1000s of peoples Black-Ops orders. I think people just need accept that nowadays when a company makes a pricing screw up online, its unlikely the company will honour the price.

As for the listing error. I guess youve never used Turbo Lister or alike ? People who create a lot of listings dont use eBays wizard its too slow.

I would assume at that price it is priced wrong, it almost seems too cheap, they make more than that used.

Now your comparing the Woolworths screw up to a listing made through Ebay, Ebay rules kick in as well because it has to adhere to their own T&Cs and is completely different imo.

Regardless of whether you use Turbo Lister or not, its still common sense to go through and check the prices on your listings and any finer details to make sure you havent screwed up. I did indeed work for a very popular Ebay seller about 5 years ago, and we spent lots of time making sure that everything is correct in listings because it can lead to allsorts of problems when you get it wrong.

I would think Ebay Rules about a contract, etc. carrys  a lot more weight than Zavvi saying a T&C on the page.

Be interesting to here what happens.

people are getting cancellation notices

Well now the fact that they (their system) has left positive feedback may very well shoot them in the foot. I didnt think you could leave feedback without marking an item as dispatched; which would mean that the order was accepted.

I never understand why people think they have a right to take advantage of a mistake.

Bad karma on you all.

Ive chanced things in the past, and got the occasional item.  If I dont get it then I dont start screaming about it.  Only problem Ive had with it was Overclocckers, who billed my card, then seemed to think that the Sale of Goods act didnt apply to them!

Lets be honest, like i said earlier, as a past Ebay seller (business), you need to check and doublecheck your listings even if using a Turbolister, once the hammer goes down the price is final, goto any auction house they will tell you the same.

As for the console itself i didnt bid.
