Title: Anyone got experience/recommend a FileCopy Tool with Bandwidth Control ?
Post by: Mardoni on April 20, 2010, 19:42:50 PM
As title ! :)

Ive downloaded a bunch of contenders from Google today but none of them do what I need, which is:

Recursively Copy a directory structure (and files there in) from A to B
Allow configuration of the maximum amount of bandwidth to be consumed per second during the transfer (network copies).

I need to Copy around 3GB of files from an office to my PC over the course of a week, every week. BUT the copy cannot use more than 10% of their upload bandwidth whilst it is occurring.

I cannot find a tool thatll do this (simple?) job :/

Any recommendations ?

I think you want two apps, one for the copy and one for the bandwidth restriction, there is a program that can restrict bandwidth on a program by program basis...

... Will see if I can find the program..

Edit: Think this was it http://www.netlimiter.com/
