Really am glad I played this beta, took it straight off the buy list, looks pretty but just not for me :)

Any reasons in particular?

It looks to me from what I've seen so far like it is going to suffer the same problems as BF2, i.e vehicle spawn campers, snipers and complete n00bs.

I fell into the latter , it looks pretty but it's not my type of game anymore, FPS is pretty much lowest common denominator imo.

Yes also tons of snipers just camping in groups (this was from a mere 2 games!) just not fun at all, maybe some of the other maps are better but tbh I don't feel like paying to try them :)

Yeah I figured that would be the case with it, the massive and beautiful looking 64 player maps are the only genuine thing I can see giving this a long lasting appeal compared to the dozens of other FPS shooters. When I say complete n00bs, I don't really mean the average play for people of spawn, make a bit of progress and get uber-sniped, bombed or knifed in the back by some fat, basement-locked veteran thats been playing for 32 hours straight. I mean the ones that will join a game and generally just grief though their inability to do anything at all, like to steal a vehicle and crash it and die instantly, or run straight for a plane and then crash it into teammates like a knob.

I don't think sniping is made nearly hard enough in games to be honest, weapons have a fair representation of recoil but sniping is often so easy you can point and shoot in an instant without any bob or need to steady, which is nothing like real sniper and allows them to top the server charts and infuriate everyone else.

I don't really like sniping in FPS games, I much prefer duking it out with people face to face, so if I'm playing Team Fortress or the like and a sniper starts gunning everyone down, I'll switch to it myself and make it my business to take them out and set an example (more often than not I'll succeed too). ;D

Didn't you know, they won't let anyone film it at conventions unless they are preapproved and short of actually curtailing the right of free speech are doing everything they can to prevent anyone saying anything negative about the game. It's pretty pathetic really.

It is EA though not DICE. As a Developer I bet they are just as annoyed as us.
It is quite simple, EA's last attempt to topple Call of Duty was with their updated Medal of honor franchise of which Dice did some of multiplayer stuff for them. It flopped. They really want this to take some of the wind out of Activision and this game has the ability to do that. Yeah for us we can see right through them but for their marketing plan they are running a tight ship.

As a company I can understand why, but it does suck donkey balls.
