Yeah I figured that would be the case with it, the massive and beautiful looking 64 player maps are the only genuine thing I can see giving this a long lasting appeal compared to the dozens of other FPS shooters. When I say complete n00bs, I don't really mean the average play for people of spawn, make a bit of progress and get uber-sniped, bombed or knifed in the back by some fat, basement-locked veteran thats been playing for 32 hours straight. I mean the ones that will join a game and generally just grief though their inability to do anything at all, like to steal a vehicle and crash it and die instantly, or run straight for a plane and then crash it into teammates like a knob.
I don't think sniping is made nearly hard enough in games to be honest, weapons have a fair representation of recoil but sniping is often so easy you can point and shoot in an instant without any bob or need to steady, which is nothing like real sniper and allows them to top the server charts and infuriate everyone else.
I don't really like sniping in FPS games, I much prefer duking it out with people face to face, so if I'm playing Team Fortress or the like and a sniper starts gunning everyone down, I'll switch to it myself and make it my business to take them out and set an example (more often than not I'll succeed too).
