No spoilers yet but the little previews are out there on the web already but, Can not weight for the new season.
The last episode was a little dull till right at the end when we find out 4 of the final 5 (president cant be becuase of the cancer? is it starbuck? (last one of the five)) The chiefs baby is then another half Cylon child as well as Hara.
Cant wait to find out what initially happens with the Cylon fleet and then the conclusion of the whole Show.
The spin off series will also be on the go and come some time this year called Caprica.
I first thought this would be a load of crap but as more information has come about it seems really good.
Off my head as I type it is about the Adama Family and some other family who are like the two great houses of the colonies and their rivalry and the creation of the Cylons and I am sure the eventual first war which will be kind of cool.

Hmm. Those links appear to be very out of date. The last I heard Caprica was only going to be picked up as a two hour pilot, and they were only going to commission the series based on high ratings.

Can post more up to date ones, heck there is a video where they talk about the excitement of wrapping up Battlestar and looking forward to caprica
Battlestar and any other new series always have a pilot and the initial Definite of the pilot and the season contracts pencilled in and plans for them made.

What, other than 19th March 08, just over two weeks old, as opposed to the two links you posted from April and October 2006? Im afraid I cant find any posted in the last fortnight, no, but neither can I find any press releases, updated Battlestar Wiki, anything at all even semi-recently to mention that the entire series has been given the green light.
It appears its been stuck in development hell, first they said yes, then they said no, now they said you can have a two hour pilot and a series if you get good ratings. I dont think the writers strike helped either.

Everything is behind and hold, do not forget there has been a long strike so all current shows are behind or messed up, heroes had to end volume 2 early and battlestar nearly did not get the 4th season

Just wanted to add at the end of season 3 - All Along The Watchtower (From Crossroads, Part 2) Bear McCrear the music in the walls and leading to the end - very good take on the song, like it and one of my favs of the soundtrack which I have (got all the season soundtracks)

They know the final 4 are in the fleet, we dont know where the final cylon is yet.

In the fleet, the creator has said who its not and that its someone in the fleet just not an adama, president, starbuck, boltar, wife/husband of a cylon or lead character like lee.

I disagree (quite obviously) having watched all of the previous episodes as well, otherwise I wouldnt have posted what I did in the first place. But youre entitled to your own opinion of course. :roll:

Its conjecture, opinion, Im entitled to my own as are you but no matter how much you harp on about other forums opinions and suchlike it isnt going to sway me, you seem to be under the mistaken opinion that because these shadowy souls on these mysterious "other forums" (here there be dragons, yarr) have reached a consensus that you are somehow right and I am somehow wrong because you agree with their opinions and I disagree. At least I assume this to be the case as you keep quoting me on something that doesnt require any further discussion. I have an opinion, you have an opinion, thats great. If you want to discuss merits of individual space battles in sci-fi be my guest. But otherwise there really isnt anything to comment on.

There was a tune in season 2 where roslin ordered Leoben Conoy excution (out the airlock) the cylon knew that roslin would have him killed the music is played just has he about to get sucked out (does anyone know what that tune was?)

Could be - Martial law, The cylon prisoner?
Fav from season 2 is when they meat the Pegasus.

Ive only just started watching BSG...great timing before my finals. Have Seasons 1-3, and am up to episode 15 of Season 2.
Wasnt sure of it to start with, but was hooked by about halfway through the first season. Certainly the best episodes so far have been around the time where Pegasus turns up :D
Spotted two goofs so far (camera crew in the background and helicopter reflection on lake) which were pretty obvious and no doubt mentioned in this thread, But im gonna try and keep out of it untill I catch up to season 4!

Do not forget Razor to watch before you start on season 4 which is the mini movie that arrived just before which you need to watch also.

Will do. I didnt realise that there was a miniseries/pilot with BSG so jumped in from Episode "1". Man I hadnt been more confused in a series. Took me about 3 episodes before I decided to see if I had missed something. And I didnt get to watch the pilot stuff until Id finished watching up to about ep 6 lol. At least it explained a few things, but by that time most of the things were trivial anyway!

Will do. I didnt realise that there was a miniseries/pilot with BSG so jumped in from Episode "1". Man I hadnt been more confused in a series. Took me about 3 episodes before I decided to see if I had missed something. And I didnt get to watch the pilot stuff until Id finished watching up to about ep 6 lol. At least it explained a few things, but by that time most of the things were trivial anyway!
Yep it was a 2 part mini movie to see if people liked for a series and was a massive hit. BG has not been given the big credit it deserves in terms of the media, for real sci fi fans, scripting, style, quality and concept it has got nothing but praise and actually won a number of awards. One of the best scripting by far.

Just finished season 3.
The trial stuff got a little tedious, until the end, and the final 15 mins with the music was pretty awesome, better than the end of Season 2!

Now Im only like 8 eps behind I think I might not read this thread again till Ive caught up hehe. Hats off to BSG, the bit in the first ep of Season 4 where Col. Tigh imagines shooting Admiral Adama really stirred some emotion in me. Not much gets me when it comes to films/tv nowadays, but when that happened I was truly gobsmacked thinking "Oh sh*t no, wtf!"

11 Episodes filmed, 10 are being screened, the rest come early next year. All down to the screen writers strike.

Weird. Other series that were affected by the writers strike ended halfway through but came back like months ago :( Kinda wish I hadnt started watching series 4 now. Finished ep 3...poor Kali :(

Just finished Ep 10. All caught up so at least now I can watch the last episodes on a big TV rather than my computer when theyre aired.
Hmm, not too sure about this series. It seems that the good episodes are the best of the entire programme, but the majority of the eps have been mediocre at best until the last couple.
The ending of ep 10, heh, you kinda had to expect something along those lines, not necessarily that, but to expect it to be modern day earth was just stretching it a bit too much. Gotta wonder what the last 10 eps will be. Final fight between cylons and humans, or will a "3rd party" be introduced for the cylons and humans to unite against. or will it be like the boring legal proceedings centred eps and be 11 eps of the humans building on Earth?

Yeah the were talks of only half the season but no, there are more to come, there may be a small break like with any US show half way but 22? Are to be made followed by at least 2 more tv movies.
Finding earth is only another step in this season, you got the other cylons, the 5th of the final five, where the ship came from (based on the old series which were a light (good) cylon race) basically and the what happened to earth.
Lots of views about the end footage of the last episode how it is the bridge to new york and how you can see cars, car parts etc.

If D-ana only wanted the 4 in the fleet, either she didnt know who the 5th was, or he/she was already on board the baseship...Helo? That could be interesting, they seem to show him siding with the Cylons more and more and he was horrified at all the cylons being killed on the resurrection hub etc. Can almost imagine him deciding humans should be wiped out...?

Dana knows the 5th is not in the fleet that is why she wanted the 4. The main title says - one to be revealed so that still has to go.

As I said, it could have been Helo or anyone on the baseship.
The alternative is that it is Starbuck. It was hinted that though Dana was boxed, they brought her back on occasion to try and get her cooperation on matters. Perhaps she was aware of Starbucks crashing into that swirly thing and presumed death, but not aware of her return, and so figured she was dead. Hence 4 in the fleet.
If there are indeed "good" cylons to come in the series, it would kind of suggest starbuck, she died, was downloaded on/near earth, and put in a replacement viper before being sent back home? Starbuck...herald of destruction...could that just refer to the destruction theyre now seeing on Earth?
And come on, lets discuss this instead of just spouting rumours found on myriad TV and fan websites...
