The first one was pants and I got quite bored watching it at the Cinema. The second one was better, fairly enjoyable although I wouldnt watch it again. Hopefully this will be more of the latter.
Are you in the right thread lol? I thought the first was awesome despite REALLY not wanting to go see it. The second bored the arse off me although Im told it gets better with a second viewing.
I just dont see what all of the fuss is about really. I dont mind Johnny Depp but this isnt his best role, and Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are rather wooden. The second was better because if focused on the former rather than the latter and I could at least see some merit in its entertainment value rather than getting bored and staving off sleep as I had to while viewing the first one. Ive seen it three times since then and have seen nothing to alter my opinion of it. If I want to enjoy some swashbuckling action on the high seas Ill watch Master and Commander and enjoy a supporting cast who act well.
