I think its something wrong with my DVD drive 
because Ive managed to burn one which works on a different computer and in a DVD player, just my computer cant recognize it
1) Try having a look in windows explorer. Some DVD writers take two drive letters and it may be your software is looking on the spare one.
2) burn another disk at 1X and set Nero to check the disk after writing. You can select this while the disk is writing
1) Pretty sure its not that, because when I look in the drive in explorer it doesnt recognize it as a proper DVD - and it plays properly on other DVD players so the DVD has clearly been burned.
2) I did that. Nero burns it fine, spits it out and takes it back in again, and then cant recognize theres a DVD there :s
