How can i determine
on: September 04, 2009, 20:34:15 PM
Say for instance i have a 1GB Memory Stick without a label or identifiable marks.

I put it in a system and it runs at 333Mhz which would hint to me its not PC2100, it must either be PC2700 or PC3200

How do i determine which of those it is?

Ive tried CPU-Z / Everest which just stated its DDR1, tried some other little programs which showed even less detail.

cpuz usually says what the sticks default SPD is.

You can work it out by the numbers on the actual memory chips, not sure exactly how to decipher them but I think it is do-able

That pn is most likely the pn for the actual chips not the whole stick so yeah its probably 400mhz.
