If Dusty Springfield and Van Morrison had a slightly introverted daughter with sticks in her hair that was allowed to jam with the session musicians every thursday when let out of her cellar hovel, youd get Cat Power: The Greatest. Her vocal delivery is about as exciting as Hope Sandovals via Mazzy Star--but dang it, its sexy despite being imperfect, affected, and a little drunk.
