It puts it in the centre of the screen but honestly it makes very little difference, you don't really notice it after a minute. It's obvious why, as it would give an unfair advantage to those with ultrawide screens.

My monitor and TV each do 3840X2160, it works at that resolution fine.

With super wide it has the problem of either cutting the top/bottom off to give you full width or reducing to the center of the screen.

The fix more often than not is to see if it has a windowed full mode. This often basically goes full screen with no borders but fills the entire screen I find.

It's not a glitch or anything though, it's intentional. Apparently there was a bug where you could move units outside the viewable area, not sure if that's been fixed or not, I never noticed it though.

Nothing else seems to have been fixed, the ore miners still try to get to refineries that they cannot go to and don't check if another is available. On the last map fighting as Nod this can shut down your production. Would have been nice if they had bugfixed better.

Great video here that explains the complexity of pathfinding amongst other things, the team are Westwood were a bloody talented bunch!

The problem with that is it requires changing the AI and that could negatively affect the campaign. Improving the audio visual and adding some usability tweaks is one thing but adjusting pathfinding, etc is very complex and could fundamentally change too much.

Of course, now the source code is out I expect a ton of mods to do exactly that!

Yes, but this only affects the ore miners in specific situations. Make it that they cannot see refineries that are on other sides of unassailable water. I cannot get there, wait 1 minute try again.

They could have cured it, but the number of official maps it affects is small.

Reinforcements have arrived!

The quality of this is excellent throughout, even though I don't care about most of the included tat it really is well manufactured.

The mammoth tank model is heavy pewter and the turret rotates, the obelisk and tesla coil models look good and have a decent sound, the artbook is printed on glossy high quality paper in a heavyweight booklet, tech trees are laminated so you could leave them on your desk for reference, beanie hat, pins and patches are all decent too. The printed materials are copied on an included CD and the soundtrack is on CD or tiberium USB pen in both FLAC & WAV format. Everything has that sheen about it like a 1990s big box game should. Absolutely chuffed.

If ever you wanted to order something from Limited Run and had doubts about the quality, I would say just go for it.

Even with the minor issues it is still the most playable game of it's type I have tried.

I think we have all bought "unnecessary tat" from time to time. I have a collection of decorative plates that shouldn't be eaten from because the pigments contain elements like lead. They just sit on some shelves, still in boxes or wrapped in paper. Every time I look at them I think of the albatross hung around the ancient mariner's neck. There's no point in selling them cause I already have over the government limit and can't even spend what they give me. I was getting the level down but covid-19 compounded that issue.

I'd be happy to spend what they give you

YOLO and all that, might as well enjoy these things while you can, especially given the way the world is going.

Any news on them doing RA2 etc? There was some good follow ups, albeit not as great as the remastered pair in the thread Wub

Nothing that I've heard about yet, but given the success that this has had I can't see why they wouldn't. I'll keep my eyes peeled

openra.net teased in June they're getting closer with the next one, it looks moody as hell, love it  Wub

Would be nice if westwood just came out and finished the lot though
