Game play is pretty much the same as the originals except graphics has been improved to up to 4K and sound is much better. You have a choice between C&C and Red Alert at the start then it's mostly as last time.

So if you liked that then you will probably like this version. Seems to be a bunch of bonus material and you can design your own maps/weapons.

Shame the cut scenes haven't been remastered and also it doesn't scale to ultra wide, but otherwise pretty much the same.

I think the main benefit will be the ability to network play without some IPX hack.. but not tried that yet!

I haven't even touched this yet I've been so busy, gutted its not going to support ultrawide but I guess that would make the whole map visible in some cases

Unfortunately not, I'm not even sure it's hitting 4k I'm running 3440x1440 (cropped on the width) but I'm still seeing more pixelation than I'd expect for 4k.. although TBH you don't notice the pixels after 5 minutes..

I'm on the same res and can't tell if it's just because of scaling or what but it almost feels like the view is zoomed in, I'm sure its probably exactly what it used to be like in fairness (maybe Red Alert is different?) but I know what you mean. Still looks awesome, it keeps the feel of the original perfectly.

Love the remastered soundtrack too  Wub Do you know how to bring up the jukebox? I couldn't see a key binding for it, only next/previous tracks. Maybe that's another Red Alert thing.

This looks fantastic and I would be all over it like a tramp on chips had it not been for the fact I've been playing openRA for many years, I'll buy it when it gets a bit cheaper

Well worth it IMO!

FFS it is definitely zoomed in after some reading and watching that vid - I bet its the mouse wheel or something - and I still can't find the bloody jukebox

Haha, mouse wheel for zoom, but I'd like to be able to zoom out more, I've been playing RA though, will give CC a go later

Found an alternative to access all the music for now:

Had to go into steam discussions to find out but you just hit escape once you've started a mission/skirmish/whatever to access the Jukebox. Seems so obvious now, much like the scrollwheel.

My monitor and TV each do 3840X2160, it works at that resolution fine.

With super wide it has the problem of either cutting the top/bottom off to give you full width or reducing to the center of the screen.
