B&W??

I went to speedie computers and bought a LaserJet 1100 (if you can get it with the A attachment... awesome, free scanner/copier woot!), yet to refill it as its still on the toner cart it came with.

I got a sammy for like £50, toner lasts forever. Its crap for pictures but great for text.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Ive got a Samsung CLP500 (iirc on the number)

was £120 when I got it and its pretty damn good :)

warms up quick, prints quick, has a built in duplexor (prints on both sides of the paper)

a new set of toner carts is ~£200 tho :(

(but they last forever!)

got it a long time ago when it was on special... should be about the same / cheaper now thio ?

Even if the official ones are expensive for refills you can get local shops to do them cheaply. We have a pair of Brother ones but just look around. Ask about the price of replacement toner before you buy though and check if its chipped.

As with everything printers - AVOID LEXMARK!!!!!!!!!!!

im on a Sammy ML-1610.

As said above, awful for pictures, but its awesome for text.  I think ive pulled ~2000 sheets off it so far, and the toner still feels about 1/4 ful.=l.  Plus origional refills are only about £35.

Ive got a HP Laserjet 1018, its been superceded but was £40 in the sale. All the lasers printers around that price point from Sammy and HP are great, you cant go wrong.

I need to be quite resourcefull to get toners, imaging units, fusers, etc. :-D

Usually keep the company ones when they are down to 10%
