They sound perfect for you actually, its a good choice. Ive always found with seperate sub combinations the satellites usually dont carry any weight or depth with them, a decent low/mid cone and high end tweeter setup can give very powerful results, so often you wont even miss a sub and therefore wont be annoying the neighbours.

Then I spent £60 getting the monitors repaired with M-Audio, still figuring it was a tidy saving over the retail price.
Then when they finally came back I couldnt get a proper stereo connection from my onboard soundcard, so had to invest in this to get some balanced 1/4" jacks:

So basically Ive got a studio setup now, I have to say it sounds great so Im very happy for the money. The speakers are huge though but I wont need to change from this setup for a long time. Im thinking of selling my 5.1 kit now as I dont really need it and dont have room for it in my lounge to setup on my TV.
