Title: Decent NAS with ios app
Post by: neXus on September 24, 2020, 07:17:55 AM
Hey all,

I need some help finding a good NAS for backing up and network access.

Not fussed about pricing (As you guys will give me UK links and I will need to find AU) but cheaper the better of course.

- Thinking 4 bays, does not have to come with drives
- Network
- Has an IOS app so you can easily save photo's from the phone to the NAS as well as get them out
- Works well for mac and pc's

Any thoughts?

Thanks

The best quality are Synology by far, you can basically use them as servers for all kinds of things - not sure if they specifically have an iOS app that does what you want as I don't have one myself - I've been considering them as a replacement for my HP microserver as I find Unraid a bit too much of a faff.

As you know mate, when you got kids although you can do a thing, more over finding the time, when you do have the time you do not want to be doing that faff you were not fussed with before. When you got that time you want to do your hobby/rest/game etc.

According to an instant google they are on the apps store. Not the absolute cheapest but they do get regular awards for their products.
