Free zip repair?
on: November 26, 2006, 21:22:34 PM
I downloaded the supreme commander open beta file all 1.2gig of it and it got to 100% and download just stopped, now I took the part file and renamed zip, I looked for a free repair tool and only shareware and one I ran checked the file and said all were 100% and zip file could be repaired but wont actually repair it for free.

Anyone know any free ones that will fix the zip file for me?

Depending on what the error is, doesnt the command line unzip program have -kb (keep broken) switch or similar that forces it to ignore errors when unzipping? (I know unrar command line does, not sure if that can handle zips files too).

It managed to repair but as has to be the bloody case the main cab file was to corrupted, most have been missing bytes of data :/
Been an issue with my downloading recently due to upgrading and so close to getting this :/ will have to try again
