Might be going to Fear Factory at Newcastle Union but after that Transgression CD release I think I will skip unless they play their previous tracks only :P

Transgression was good, ok its not traditional Fear Factory but its still a good listen.  Took me a few tries to get into it but it soon had me hooked.  Anyway how often are Fear Factory going to be up here playing I cant see it happening very often so Im definately going.

They were up here 3 years ago :P I saw them then, just before they announced that Dino was leaving and then they hit the scene again with Archetype and after that you cant help but be dissapointed with Transgression. The album has 2 covers on it leaving 9 FF songs 3 of which are listenable, those being moment of Impact, 540,000 Degrees and New Promise. Other than that its a very poor and lazy album from FF, granted Christian was wanting a slower album to grind on since his move from bass to guitar but still after Archetype thats where FF should of pregressed from. Mind this all could be due to my tastes becoming heavier. People slagged off the Digimortal album, that was alright but Transgression for me basically seems like a cash in for a bit of money, lets hope their next offering is 300 times better.

Oooo didnt know they where up here before, hopefully might mean theyll be back in the future too.

I find I like just about all their albums.  The only ones I dont like are the ones I aint heard lol and thats only Soul of A New Machine and Concrete.

Ok in Transgression theyve got a slightly different sound to a lot of there other stuff but thats understandable since Dino left they where bound to sound different.

Either way more albums off them would be rather nice :D

Just got back from seeing Pitchshifter in Manchester.

The first support band, Dear Superstar, were pretty good. The lead guitar player was doing some crazy stuff on his guitar. Local band too, so will be checking them out a bit more.

Second band on, Sylosis, were alright. The music was good, but the singer just roared his way through the songs, which let them down.

Third band, Murder One, were quite simply aweful. I knew they were going to be bad, when I noticed that one of the singers also sings/sang in Raging Speedhorn. Well, I wouldnt call him a singer, as all he did was roar in a deep voice and the other frontman screamed in a high pitched voice. Truly bad music.

Finally, Pitchshifter. I dont think they have ever played a bad gig, they just have a stage presence that other bands dont seem to have. They also have a shed load of excellent songs to choose from which also makes things very cool.

All in all, it was a great gig, and Im heading down to London on Friday to see them again (this time with better support).

Seeing Feeder at the NEC Arena on Saturday.  Allways fantastic live.  Their sound suits arenas imo, though seeing them at the BHam academey was cool.

Well, to put into one word, I cant really, stunning, perhaps.

I didnt expect a better gig that the first time I saw them in 2003 at the NIA.  But the atmosphere just made it something special.  There must have been at least 4 songs where people in seating were lighting their phones up without the band ever needing to encourage us, which they usually do.

I fell like Ive lost half a stone in sweat, first time Ive been up in the front of the standing in arena, quite an experiance damn good though. :-)

I still find it a shame that some of the yonger fans dont know the lyrics to the early material except for Buck Rogers and Just A Day.

I strongly believe now that small arenas suit Feeder best.  As long as they keep touring I will keep seeing them tbh.

2 Videos, though they do them no justice.

Shatter

Descend (Old School Song, really has presence live)

The support act was Goldie Looking Chain.  :-)  I wouldnt pay to see them but they were definately a giggle.  Thanks to them Ive just invented a new form of air conditioning, its called bass, the PA moved air rather well lol.

Short Video of GLC - Sister. Definately NOT Safe For Work with stong laguage.

Im sure there will be some better pics, videos/photos one the web later so Ill update this post later if I find any.

Well, got back from London last night after seeing them on Friday and it was much better than the Manchester gig. I also managed to get right down the front which was pretty cool.

First band on were Murder One. Read above for my thoughts on them.

Second up was This Is Menace, featuring Mark and Jason from Pitchshifter and a bunch of guest singers. Quite good, some songs with a lot of screaming though, which I really do hate, but it was entertaining.

Third was Skindred. I have seen them once before but this time they were even better. Great blend of different music styles, Benji knows how to get the crowd going and is really funny, and when they kick into the music it just gets everyone moving.

Lastly, Pitchshifter. Once again, playing an awesome show. Being down the front for Pitchshifter was so good. Both Mark and JS Clayden noticed me and my brother (we have hung out with them backstage before) and acknowledged us. My chest is bruised (I think my ribs might be too) as I was crushed on the barrier, but I have never enjoyed a gig as much as I did on Friday and I am looking forward to the next time they tour.
