good monitors on a budget
on: March 25, 2017, 00:58:59 AM
I recently built a new PC with a decent previous generation GPU to try deep learning, though I do have a copy of elite and quite fancy trying that on a slightly nicer display than my rather old Samsung 22inch monitor

I'm thinking of a 27inch monitor, albeit I'm not a huge gamer so don't want to spend much on this - more like £200-ish

contenders are:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/iiyama-X2783HSU-B1-27-Inch-ProLite-Monitor/dp/B00EY8PYGY/ref=pd_vtph_147_lp_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YAD6RDQZZAZ0GF9Y5H3Y

it is AMVA which while slightly slower than a TN panel isn't going to be an issue I assume if not playing FPS type games, supposedly better blacks so maybe quite nice for Elite

and:

TN pannel, though 1440p - am quite tempted by this as it could be nice to play at a higher resolution

anyone have any other suggestions for budget monitors?
