Hi all,

Well this one has me completely stumped, hopefully someone will have some ideas or ideally experience of this problem as Google (appears) to give no clues :s

I have a workgroup of 6 PCs: 3 Vista SP1 and 3 Windows XP SP3.

1 of the Vista machines shares a folder that the other 5 PCs have a mapped network drive connected to.
Since installing SP1 on the Vista "server" I randomly encounter a problem where upon trying to access the network drive from a XP machine, I receive one of the following error messages:
1) An error occurred while reconnecting Y: to "\\blah\blah\blah\". Microsoft Windows Network: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
2) An error occurred while reconnecting Y: to "\\blah\blah\blah\". Microsoft Windows Network: Not enough storage is available to process this command."

Once this is encountered on one of the XP machines, they are all unable to access the Networked drive. However the Vista machines carry on fine.
In addition if on a XP machine I right click on the network drive and do properties it shows me that the disk is full, when in fact there is in excess of 200GB of free space on the disk.

If I then reboot the Vista "server" all of the machines (Vista and XP) are able to access the Network Drive again...for a while.

The only solution I have found so far is to restore back to a point prior to Vista SP1 being installed. Once I do this everything is fine :s

Anyone ? Any ideas ? At all ?
