Hypertexts

Im a little bit of a fan on the internet hypertexts that go around, not too fussed about alternate reality things like the I love bees thing. Just thought Id share the latest one Ive found. Seems like a mix between Pratchett and Stephen king haha.

John Dies at the end

Its pretty long and is now a book. Im only up to chapter 3 but it seems pretty cool :D

And for anyone totally confused over what Im talking about...hypertexts are works of fiction that have made use of a new medium (in this case the internet) to add another level to the story, drawing the reader in a little more. Other examples include:

This was the first one I ever encountered, readable in a night. By some fluke chance when i first read it, I was reading a page near the end which describes an inhuman scream, just as I was listening to Mushroomheads Episode 29. That really freaked me out haha. if youve read H.P.Lovecraft and are a fan of his works, this is a must :D
Teds caving page

This ones kinda weird. Bit conspiracy theory esque with sci-fi and horror mixed in. A bit of researching is in order as other websites were created that build upon the original site in the link below, adding a spooky touch to it all. Probably take as long to read as Teds caving page.
The Dioanae house

The only other one that comes to memory was the old "I found a camera" thread on some forum, which spread like wildfire. Photos were uploaded that progressively got more and more spooky. Its a shame that most of the threads are either invalid now or dont have the pictures still working, as they really got some atmosphere going sometimes with people getting freaked out and spotting new things in the photos :D

If anyone knows of any other things like this on the net, please link em :D
