Looks like another super hero series to me. I watched Heroes simply because it was better done than most. Then they saved the cheerleader, world and lost the plot and script.

Just watched the season 3 Star Trek Discovery trash. Huge plot holes and overall meh.

They really want Michael Burnham to be a captain, but she isn't the right material so far. Sylvia Tilly isn't a first officer either.

The whole series is based on a dilithium issue which is stupid. This should not even exist.

In terms of Heroes:
Yes, a disappointment.
It suffered as many shows do where they creators have a vision and with writers map out say 3 seasons. The show then becomes successful and the shows are extended so they have to think what to do next and how to extend it. This often leads to a mess.
My biggest pet peve with Heroes is that Peter was always touted to be your main hero who is fresh, learns and grows. His future self is very powerful. But then because of "Story" they find a way to screw his power so he has nothing then can only take one power at a time unlike Sylar but then he goes all strange.

In terms of super hero shows:
Been a shift in all this and worth checking out stuff, you may like some.

The Boys - Bloody awesome, great take on all that stuff.
Invincible - Again, not your old school super hero show, Watching Episode 1 to the end (it does start slow) all right... let's go.
Jupiter's legacy - Slower one, more talk than super hero stuff but again a different take on in and I enjoyed it.
