Game exchanges/trades?
on: May 22, 2010, 16:50:00 PM
Just wondering if there was any demand here for some kind of game exchange system. I know we can list stuff for sale in the trading board, but what about just listing those console games we have in our collections we dont care too much about replaying any more, and if someone sees one that they never wanted to buy but fancy having a go, they can PM and arrange a swap etc. Much better than trading the games in (if theyre old, where you just get something like £2 credit, if youre lucky)?

I used to frequent a shop that did this in Sheffield, the Sega & Nintendo swap shop.

It used to be £2 a trade to swap there too :D

I was thinking more like old schoolyard swaps. If someone has a game they want to get rid of but is fairly recent, and someone else has a few older games, people might want to just say Ill send you this game if you would send me these 2-3. In my books it works out better for everyone than is you get £1 for an old game at blockbuster etc towards a new game.

Gah, yes, there are alternatives to this, I was suggesting more just the people here. It gets past the issue of peoples feedback and dodgy people with the least hassle. Evidently no one is interested though!
