I would also say top10broadband obviously has something against Virgin Broadband :P Its hard to believe they wouldnt make the list over some of those others.

I dunno if the list is paid-for or not. My sister works in PR and I know that websites like this are simply not to be trusted because you never know how much of a kick-back the owners receive for click-throughs / affiliate sales / etc.

Its blatantly sponsored, Virgin are not on the list for a reason, Mr Branson has bags of money and tbh Virgin doesnt need to be on top 10 list :P

Nildram. Which I think is now part of Pipex, though everything still goes through the name of Nildram?

Pipex WAS doing brilliantly until Tiscali bought them, migrated them to an already overloaded system, and then claimed they hadnt.  Mate was on them, and while his sync stayed at 8Mb his real speed dropped to below 256k every evening.  They claimed it was line noise (I love that cop-out, i think they claim it for every fault), but as soon as he swapped to TalkTalk of all companies he was right back on a full fat 8Mb again.  Though we did have to change the DNS as TTs DNS is less than stellar!

Im with Tiscal. Went with them because they where the cheapest unlimited package when I signed up.

Except for a couple of weeks of problems when I changed from fixed rate to adsl2 its been perfectly stable and I get great speeds condidering Im pretty far from the exchange (400~kb/s).

Just pray to god I dont have the use the customer service any time soon, it is really terrible.

Im on VM 20Megabit and get 19~22Megabit (cant remember if MB or Mb is mega bit >< ) but I did have to tweak windows, other wise I was getting 6-7megabits.

VM have a little info and a link to a program on there webby to help tweak, but removing Qos in windows networking helps a bit too.
