It just got very samey. If they can rattle out DLC in this short a time, it should have been included in the game.
22 Cases was too short.

Seems to me like games are now being forcefully cut short to push DLC content, pretty much every game that has come out lately someone has complained that its too short or they've completed it in a day.

I'm totally against pushing DLC like this, or even worse DLC already being on the disc, they want to make it a part of you

I'm getting a bit sick and tired of DLC being released for everything now, especially when it's not just fluff and is actually extra content. I tend to make it a rule to not bother picking up games until they've been out for twelve months and they have released a gold/platinum/game of the year/collectors type edition that has all of the DLC already on the disk. I abhor paying extra for it, and also have little faith in keeping anything on the PSN these days after it went down for so long.

IMO the Rockstar pass is actually pretty good value, at least until the 14th.
The new cases already had VO and mo-cap/faces done about a month before release, AFAIK they simply couldn't get it all on the three discs on 360/didn't have time to finish them.

Unfortunately DLC or not I think once you're done with LA Noire, you're done. It's going to have to take some pretty special DLC to get at least me interested.

I love the idea of DLC's - I mean if you really like the game you can get more! However thats only if the game isn't cut or rushed and then 'made up' later. The fact they have / are releasing so much DLC content in such a short time makes me think they just want to squeeze money out of people with content that should of been included.

Well the way it used to work is via expansion packs, which I still think are a much better idea even if it means you have a six month wait. There are some games like Diablo 2 that are so big that I didn't need to get the expansion pack for ages, but it offered a lot of extras beyond just a smattering of new content/levels as most DLC seems to be now. The whole concept of DLC is a money making scheme as far as I can see and a way to short change gamers.

I like the idea of expansion packs, like the FPS Map packs, Liberty City Stories/Ballad of Gay Tony sort of stuff.
How longs this game been out? A week?
The guys at Game are saying they are seeing them come back now.

I bought it, I was disappointed with the lack of other things to do. I mean you can only catch the crims, or shoot the crims. I thought there would be some home life or something like that. Also, for a Rockstar game, the driving part of it just doesn't feel connected, feels really arcadey, nothing like GTA4. I was also disappointed by the lack of playing time. I musta played about 8 hours I think, and I'm on disc 3. I got to the Vice desk and just lost motivation to play it, it's very repetitive.
FYI I've got the 360 version. Think I might trade it in.
