Majorly impressed by this, took a while to get going but fantastic so far.

Also the engine is phenomenal to look this good, and run this smoothly on 7 year old 360 hardware is plain crazy

Engine will be 1 revision behind the new GTA, New GTA one will be even better. Wondering if they actually holding off for the new consoles on that one.
I swear and hope MS lied when they said no new console at E3 as they wont have anything for the event if they dont. New GTA as a launch title for the new console - would be sweeet!

Totally agree, I hope the next GTA is indeed geared towards meatier hardware, with that said though I thought the 360 was well past its sell by date but somehow they made Payne look fabulous, a swansong for the current gen perhaps as I'm not sure something as open ended as GTA would fare anywhere near as well.

I just crave new console hardware I guess, but not the new nintyshizebox

How does the game respond on pad? I can imagine bullet time has either been made extremely easy or judging by your previous post you have to be a controller dexterity ninja to play it anywhere remotely as well as on PC?

My mate has it on pre-order, I'm scheduling in a weekend of beers and Max Payne 3 playthrough with him :ptu:

I play it with no aim assists as you would expect, it's not 'hard' but it's not quite as good as I'd imagine with a mouse, entirely playable though

Hopefully because they are doing it properly and not churning out yet another dodgy console port.

Picked up the Xbox version today.  Not enough Black and White sequences so far.  I thought this was supposed to still be Noir?

I read a review about all the split screen bits being "Ooh I went to film school" but it's just showing it's graphic novel roots.

Is there more to this game than a 5 minute cutscene after every 2 minutes of gaming?
Its a bit la noir at the moment.

Just got back from Tesco, Xbox copy hand....

I completed Max Payne before it was released as my mate worked in GAME and got it really early.

I completed Max Payne 2 before it was released because I worked for GAMESTATION and got it really early.

After 9 years I've finally got my hands on Max Payne 3 (had to wait for release this time!) and I'm sitting here looking at it because the wife is watching bloody Alcatraz!!! Man times have changed...
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

So long as the xbox version has an option for unlimited bullet time I'd be happy.

I bought Legend of Grimrock a few weeks ago, haven't even played it once yet :( And now I'm too stuck into D3...

"The PC version of Max Payne 3, which raised a few eyebrows with its 35 GB minimum storage requirement, will ship on four DVDs, the game’s Indian distributor E-Xpress Interactive has confirmed."
