Recommend me a case
on: May 17, 2011, 11:12:36 AM
I'm looking for a case.  I've been hunting for ages this morning to no avail!

My requirements are....

Looks Good
Quiet
Can't have the power button, fans or any other detritus on the top. They can be on the front at the top though.
Budget of around £100.

I love my Antec P183, but all of their range is superb quality and has button placement as you like it.

I fell out with Antec after my old Sonata.  It was a PITA to work in.

The 100 seems well thought of on Bit-Tech though.

I just bought a Dokker for like £35 delivered and its saved me having to buy a SATA dock separately.

It a lot harder than you’d think to find a modern case without stuff on top, I would recommend a Coolermaster 690 advanced, http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6638 really solid and well built case for about 70 quid, but the buttons are wrong for you.

I just got a Fractal Design R3 B grade for £60+ pnp, the power button is on the top but right at the front but it's soooo quiet!

It's difficult to find a good looking case with buttons on the front imo.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I was gutting an HP Compaq DX2420 minitower, but the case takes standard motherboards and PSU's so I've just used that :D
