Title: .NET course
Post by: Walrusbonzo on March 06, 2007, 09:05:44 AM
Currently in Stockport on a .NET training course all week.  Going well so far, I can tell .NET is really powerful already.  Far far better than Java.

Are you on the course through work or did you fund it privately ? Any chance youve got a link to some details ?

Id like to know why you think its better than Java, Java is platform independant and (afaik) their isnt a full .NET framework for any other OS than MS atm ? Im mainly a MS developer but I find myself writing things in Java (and PHP) because of the restrictions of .NET.

Work has funded it.  Its a run by a training company called QA-IQ.

Im personally findng it better to use than Java mainly because I think Visual Studio 2005 nicely glosses over everything and makes it very easy to knock something up quickly.

Im by no means any expert on Dynamic Web Page creation ;)

roflmao. same can be said for netbeans or similar for java :)

What your effectively saying is that you like the IDE for it.
