update: got both myself and my girlfriend a nokia 6120 on 3, and we both love them. brilliant contract too - £18 / month (18 months) for 500 units (minutes or texts) and 300 3 to 3 calls.

n.b. reception is the best ive ever seen - you can fall back to both O2 or Orange if you cant get on 3.

In the search for a decently featured phone, and just as a replacement fof the increasingly annoying faulty Vario I have just picked up a Nokia 5300.  Ive not had a Nokia as my own phone since about 1996, so well see how this goes.  Seems to have enough features, its not too heavy, but its a little bit chunky so it doesnt slide out of my hand.  was only £50 as well after my CPW Staff discount.

Word, I cant see it on the o2 site but I see its on cart and horse phone warehouse.

Pretty crap contracts atm :x

edit-> to the point where its £300ish on eBay and I might just go with that...

double edit -> infact sod it I think I will, my contract is currently £15 a month for 900 messages and 220 xnetwork minutes. If I go up to a £25 12 month contract I get dry bummed, 50 mins 200 texts! £30 is 200 mins 400 texts but £15 x 12 is £180 anyway, thats just the contract alone without the charge for the handset...

hell _I_ cant pull a decent contract off CPW with high-end phones, and I work for a company that comes under the CPW umbrella at the moment.

£60 back on quidcos about the best you can get I guess.

Got mine off eBay, I cant be doing with joke contracts, youre just paying for the phone over a longer period of time.

Wish the N810 had a GSM/3G chip.... would make for some serious competition to the iPhone I reckon.

My current expensive contract with pee-mobile is due to expire this month, got any recommendations on what to go for if I get the phone seperate as opposed to getting one on a contract? At this rate it seems Ill be waiting until the end of Jan for a half-decent contract to come around.
