Havent heard the whole Kanye album--so you may well be right. I just dug the big performance he did on TV here with a whole Baptist choir. It was very ambitious and overtly political, nary a beeeyatch or niggah to be found.
Turntablism is still alive and well, you just need to go to the right clubs over here. For some reason, mention of it made me think of the early raw Beastie Boy and NWA stuff.
It impresses me, but youre more likely to see me spend cabbage to see Gillian Welch sing about The Depresssion at the Mother Church (the Ryman).
