Is it Virgin cable? I.e. Comes in via coax, if so don't forget the upload will be much less than the download, not that it makes a lot of difference to me, I highly rate Virgin, I think I've probably had downtime twice in the last 10 years that I've noticed.. And they are pretty good as giving free speed upgrades every year, not to mention the speed advertised is what you actually get (on cable at least) my 100Mbit it getting a free upgrade to 150 in just over a week!

Oh and don't forget quidco if you are changing provider, you'll save yourself £100+  there easy!

Unfortunately during Christmas eve the modem from Sky decided to die. They replaced it within a few days but only with another year contract.

Download speed is fine for present use, about 1.3 MB sec but that is too slow for 4K video or other similar uses. For some reason it also drops connection a couple of times a day, usually this is for less than a minute but gets noticed. I still play Guild Wars 1 occasionally, as it can easily be played only using a mouse.

GW2 is a pain and requires both a MMO mouse and Razer keypad for me to play - if I can play it at all. Then I keep running off high cliffs (not a problem with GW1 as you automatically get stopped there). That used to be fatal but with the Heart of Thorns upgrade I can deploy a hang glider, if I manage it fast enough... (yay, saved!)

As we already have lower download speed I doubt if this would make any negative difference to us. 3-5MBsec would be adequate for us.
