In response to a fault identified with the O2 X1 mobile phone, O2 is recalling this phone and offering customers a new replacement phone free of charge.
For safety reasons O2 recommend that you do not re-charge your X1 phone and return it to us together with charger for replacement immediately. In extreme cases this fault may cause overheating and fire when charging.

Replacement phone doesnt look too bad either if your affected.

o2 phones are terrible, my gfs X2 got recalled, then the X3 they replaced it will needed recalling. must still be going on. she has a sony-erricson now with no probs.

Im expecting no problems with my "Hopefully" new XDA Mini s.
Although, that is an HTC, and none of my other smartphones have been a problem.
