Title: Play for pence, a list of super cheap, but great console games
Post by: matt5cott on November 03, 2011, 12:01:12 PM
Games a keep on comin, but if you've not played these, why spend £40 on a 'new' title when you can spend your time playing any of these ace games for around £10 or less, and then trade them back in/sell them for pretty much the same price!?

I think a list like this would be good for anyone with a new console, or perhaps a list to check if you've missed any gems, please contribute!

when I was a pennyless teen (an increasingly alarmingly long time ago!), I used to have a rule that I never paid more than £15 for a game.

I rarely had to wait THAT long to get my hands on anything.

Indeed, so dumbed down it presented no challenge whatsoever, and the story left a lot to be desired.

can we go back a bit further....

GTA San Andreas

Canis Canem Edit/Bully

Basically I've not had much free time for the last few years until recently... thanks to a medical issue I'm going to be taking some time out. I've got a PS2 that I only bought to play GTA San Andreas on and I might get a shot at completing it finally - I loved the prior GTA titles and San Andreas is awesome!

I also bought Bully as I figured I should have more than one game and I generally like Rockstar's ethos so took a punt - turned out to be quite an enjoyable title, not anywhere near as extensive as San Andreas but a lot of fun to play regardless.

I've  got a PS3 that I bought a few years ago for GTAIV and to use as a blue ray player... since then I've added Red Dead Redemption and GTAV to my collection though I guess those titles have already been listed above.
