Went out to blockbuster, sold out, ended up getting ODST and Assassins Creed 2 for less than the cost of Red. Im looking forward to playing on the xbox on a screen which isnt so small and fuzzy I can read all the text and see what the control symbols are for quick time events now :D

Hey, by the time I make my way through all the games of the last 12 months Ive wanted to play but couldnt bring myself to play, RDR will be peanuts in the shops :D

Yes, it is indeed awesome. :P

Went as far north (the snowy forest) as I could in free-roam; theres an extensive mine/cave network up in those mountains, with an exit coming right out of the side of a cliff. :)

How does it play? Is it pretty much like Oblivion or Fallout, i.e a huge open world to explore?

Yup. About the same size as Oblivion I think.
It takes a while for the map to fully open up though (also why you cant swim, I suppose).

Finished it, such a sad ending. I want more! Multi-player, though very good, just doesnt have that same atmosphere to it.

Strangely the main in game sound is good but the cut scene voices are badly muted to the point of me being unable to hear them, any ideas? :/

have you got surround sound? is your centre speaker working? If you havent have you got it switched on on the console?
