Does it matter (speed-wise) whether I connect my SSDs to SATA 3 or SATA Express ports?
I've searched and I can't find a definitive answer. Apparently, they are supposed to have different plugs but both my SATA 3 and SATAe ports are the same connectors (I have SSDs connected to both types, currently but am I throttling them in the SATA3 ports?).

...ah wait, hang on. SATA Express is just 2x SATA 3 connectors plus a 'weirdo' socket. So I'm guessing the drives will be just as fast in either SATA3 or the Express ports...

...and finally: is chaining a CD Drive and two SSDs on one power cable ok? I guess it is otherwise Corsair wouldn't supply 'em.

Thanks. Basic stuff but I've forgotten more than I'll ever know!

I can't remember half of it these days, but all the SATA stuff will be using the same controller on the board (or possibly two controllers, northbridge/southbridge) but they always tend to be the same standard which should be SATA3 speeds. Chaining devices is fine, I just wouldn't chain anything off where a graphics card is also on the rail.
