monitor power adapter

where can i get a monitor power adapter for my bothers system , it keeps overheating and cutting out .

details taken from the body of the adapter below
model number is k-1205
input 100-240 vac 60/50hz
1.5a output dc 12v 4.2a

will any 12v adapter work a tft monitor ?

any one that is 12v and 4.2amps or more should do..... as long as it has the right plug on the end...

ebay is the best bet ;)


check por a little pictyre a bit like a C woth a dot in the middle....... this tells you if the +ve is on the inside or the outside of the plug whigh goes into the monitor
(assuming its one of the standerd little round ones)

already checked ebay nothing in the uk that matches it

super crappy conection here (im in florida) so i cant look on ebay for you (takes 5 in to load a page on ebay with all the pics etc..)

but as long as its 12v, and 4.2amps or more, youre ok...... therll be tones to chose from on ebay!

dont worry about getting a more powerfull one, thats just the max rated power, not the amount of power it uses / puts out !
(as long as its still 12volts)
