SF4 this week, killzone 2 next week.
Going to be quiet around the shop corners & old folk can reclaim the streets for a few weeks.
-
Had SF4 a while and its pretty good actually, unlocked all but akuma and gouken blokey.
Dont play it online but I bet its great, also has 4:3 mode for cab owners 8-)

The joysticks have been selling like mad already in the US, they are very hard to find and found on ebay for crap loads more then their sale as you cant get hold of them. Apparently the best joysticks people have ever used. The guys of street fighter 4 got some of the top players to help develop it or something.

the elite version of the joysticks are made with shinawa parts.
Even if the thing is made by madcatz, it still has the rolls royce of buttons & sticks - prob the wiring loom as well.
Wont get me paying the stupid money for one though.
-
Following on from what Egg was saying, the two joysticks available you are only left with the option of the £150 Shinawa parts model as the madcatz one is just as bad as all their other controllers :( Mass reports already on madcatz support forums and plenty US game forums about the madcatz joystick not registering joystick movements and buttons sticking and not releasing correctly.

MS are even considering releasing a revised control pad at some point with an improved d-pad for this.
This is one of those games that it would be nice is Sony and MS got it so their networks could at least have a chat and allow people to play online be in 360 or ps3 together.

My cabs sticks and buttons are sanwa parts as used in these sticks, theyre the nuts
If you want to play it properly buy a vewlix
-
Bah hethens, I was talking about the PC version!
-
I made my own several years ago
going to dig it out the attic :oD
Anyone looking to do the same :-
http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/sanwa.php
also http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/seimitsu.php if you prefer seimitsu
Funnily enough, I made mine using an old madcatz controller.
Just canabalised it for the circuit board & wiring loom.

They did bring out a better d-pad version. Twas the green pad afaik. Not sure if they are easily obtainable though.
The parts used are Sanwa not Shinawa.
Also, I still have 6 spare Sanwa buttons and a stick. Bought them in a massive group buy I arranged some 5-6 years ago. Converted a dreamcast stick into an xbox stick. Twas bloody lovely.

Anybody playing this at the moment on xbox live?
My forum is having a small tournament, has some good people to fight too. Im not particularly good but I dont always choose Shoto whores, so any challengers would definitely be welcome.
-
Still waiting for the PC release *whistles*.
-
Tis not a patch on SFII.
Anyone want to buy my SFIV for the 360?
-
Tis an excellent game, especially when you play people who can teach you a thing or two about the game and you begin to learn the little nuances of each character.
Im enjoying it a lot, only got it online a couple of days ago.
