This is why I still feel we need two servers/worlds, one with creative mode and one without.

Nath how easy is it to setup a server? Would one run fine off my lowly home connection?

It's pretty easy to run your own server, however the requirements are completely disproportionate for the game.
Have a look here : http://canihostaminecraftserver.com/

Put your spec in and it will tell you.

In all honesty it's probably easier and less of a headache to just throw £3 a month at a starving african at daddycheese and get a minecraft server that can take 6 players at once.daddycheese and get a minecraft server that can take 6 players at once. Otherwise if you even think about using the internet or the computer, your players will complain about lag.

Daddycheese looks like a good deal. The only problem I can see with two servers is that it will split our already hard to get together group.

We could do with some sort of unifying project or mission to work at.

I "think" you can warp between servers.
Although, I think I can set up two worlds on the daddy cheese server, and swap between the two.

Yep and wolves that mate and have baby wolves!.. I've now got a few wolves in the castle as well as a few villagers, as no one else visits :P

I visted once! Next time I'll bring you some cake :P

Haha but the bakery already has a cake for you! There are also 3 houses still available for anyone to take (Bhobb the villager has taken 1 :P )

And WRT creative mode, I think the sense of achievement of building something manually  is far better, but sometimes you just want to cheat and make something cool with little effort rather than a massive castle with 10's of hours of digging and crafting :)

Two servers would be good, but even just changing the map occasionally:

Manual Mode > Creative Mode > Story Mode

Pretty much every time I have been on there it was only me anyway since the new server, and it was down for ages due to old versions, and no one noticed :) To be honest the only time that I have played and there have been 3 people on there involved creative mode and lots of TNT!  :ptu:

We could do with giving a heads up of when we're likely to be on, then people can drop by and it will be better. The most I've seen on at any one time is about 5 people but usually when I pop on its me and maybe 1 or 2 people.

Right.  According to Daddycheese, I can have as many different worlds as I like.

I would have to empart my double secret logins to the DaddyCheese portal to others so they can switch though.

We need a "I'm playing minecraft thread"

And I'm not sure if we need a new world, there are virtual miles between the dwellings at the moment, there's plenty of space :)

Maybe disable the TNT though!

I quite like our world at the moment with the skyrail, I've just dug out a new abandoned mine below my skycastle to explore too so no rush for me to switch worlds :)

My Building is nearly done. Lots of landscaping I had to do and busy furnishing and sorting the inner garden and livening up the surrounding area.

Who is the person that has done the mad tunnelling?

Oh and a note - do not  run the update until the Tek server is updated or you wont be able to log in.
