hmm, shame about your IMAX, that sucks. The one in Auckland Sky City is totally massive with nothing in the way, the place is so big it has several ushers with glow sticks and more, seat room is really good as standard as well.

You make it sound like the one at manchester is a postage stamp...  Its the size of an 8 storey building according to the blurb before the film came on.  In fact its 85ft x 85ft which is ~26m x 26m

Celluloid lovers will appreciate the scale of the IMAX screen - half the size of a football pitch, as tall as an eight storey building, and as wide as three double buses parked end-to-end, topped off with a state-of-the-art sound system; as the IMAX team say, its like being immersed in the film.

How large is "totally massive" btw?
Quote
The size of 3D screen of IMAX is 19.8 meters by 27 meters.

Totally massive.

love how you take things totally literally, is it not a lot bigger then a normal one? And as I said the one in auckland is full field of view with not even the chairs below you obscuring your full view of the screen.

I agree with Sam though the plot is too complicated for a comic book film.

sorry chaps, but comic books have some seriously convoluted storylines.

personally i thought the film was a tad long, but excellent in all parts.

i never thought id say this but katie > maggie. ledger was excelent. bale again was totally believable. its strange though, craig introduces an edge if uncertainty and vulnerability to bond and you applaud him, bale does the same ofr an obviously tired superhero and you kick off. cant get that. i thought he played the part  with skill.

Surely all imax screens dont have the chairs below you obscuring them otherwise itd be pointless and itd be even worse if someone was sat there. I think the only thing that ever obscures the screen is just the hand railing at the bottom.

Should not have anything obscuring the view but that clearly is not the case.

Great film not the best ever …but currently the best way of spending 152 min this year IMO, really looking forward for it come out on Blu-ray
I got the impression I might enjoy it even more sat in the comfort of my own home with a beer in my hand tbh.

It felt more of a event first time round …maybe that is a sign of its greatness …but I do look forward to finding out!
Which is more than can be said for 95% of other films from the last few years tbh

They are upping their game though, some of the movies on their way look properly good.

30 odd minutes are cut out of this movie so expect them to make their way onto Blu-Ray so should be an even more rich experience.

Just been to see it after failing miserably wednesday night.

Im not going to give an in depth review, Im no film critic, or can be arsed to type something that long.  Yes it is a bit complicated, and a bit long, but Id be suprised if there was anything much better to see this year.  Its not perfect, no comic book inspired film is going to be.  So 4/5 for me.

Fantastic entertainment.

A friend of mine made a very good point today... you find out who the next villain is already (Im not entirely sure how true this is). When hes asking about the suit and how it will handles against dogs Morgan Freeman says it will be fine against cats. Interesting....

Found this, done well and shows how the two films differed in style, as Jack is clearly the comic role of the comic book joker.
