I really want to like the Witcher but I'm struggling, on ep4 so far and it's not got me hooked. The stories just seem all over the place and none of the characters have really grabbed me. I've never played the video games don't know if that would have helped.
I'll see it through but a bit disappointed 😕

There seems to be several parts interleaved, starting with the grandmother/daughter, Grandmother/granddaughter, Witcher, whitch, and a few smaller pieces. It does not help that they used the same actress for daughter and granddaughter. Would have been better if they had sepia toned the back story parts, or put them out first, before going on to the later bits. Overall it could have been better, action scenes could have been better and they might as well have left the sex bits out. Looks like it's trying to be a bit like Game of Thrones and failing badly.

The Witcher just feels like side quests on the game with no substance, nothing in comparison to GOT.

Final episode of The Mandalorian got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Mixing my spare time between The Expanse and Preacher, the latter season 1 was great but season 2 has noy hooked me.

I loved The Mandalorian, thought it was brilliant, great story, characters and production.

I finally finished it over the holidays - Loved it all the way through. It is a deliberate slow pace, its a modern western and intended to be and not the action packed rollercoaster the movies have become.
Witcher I am only 1.5 episodes into it. Interested so far but I think the score on it is amazing. The most streamed show of 2019 instantly apparently beating the Mandalorion so it is a big hit.

It deserves 100% just for this scene:

Those two both laughing at them, loving them and hating on them for hitting "The Child" - Was good.

Flame trooper as well from video games - Thumbs up :)

Resurrecting this thread because I think I've just watched the greatest episode of TV I've ever seen in the finale of the current series.
The whole series has been brilliant.

I was initially disappointed by the CGI, then I remembered it was just a TV show not a blockbuster movie.
Pretty damn good CGI for a TV Show.  Better than Strictly that the Wife watches.  Their CGI was garbage.  Looked like 3D Jaws in BTTF

Talking about the CGI.. Not sure if it was posted on here or not, but they real time rendered scenes using unreal engine during filming so they could see what was going on..

Look at the supergirl TV show CGI and it is even better.
I have seen a team try and re-do the CGI as well as a deep fake from someone else. In both cases they ended up saying... Actually - they did a good job and their versions you could only say were only slightly better.

Yep, at the start of the thread :) It is so they can get it all right, know what they are looking at and have all the right lighting. They will not say but in some scenes they did not even re-do the CGI and just kept the screens because it looked that good.
Disney plan to use this technology a lot more and plan to build a bigger version for some of the movies planned down the line. They reference the avengers end game fight scenes as that would have been even better and took half the time if they did that
