Changing the area code on a blackberry pearl 8100 ??

Anyone know how to do this?

Cannot receive anything through bluetooth even though visable.
Cannot receive MMS
Contacts numbers +44 in text messages and when i change there numbers to +44 it doesnt recognise them when they call.
